WP7 – Video Interview at Neeraj Shandilya for TNO

Neeraj Shandilya is a Research Scientist at the department of Risk Analysis for Products in Development (RAPID), Healthy Living Unit at TNO in The Netherlands. His research focuses on risk management and sustainability assessment of materials.

TNO is an independent organisation for applied research that connects people and knowledge to create innovations that sustainably enhance the competitiveness of companies and the well-being of society.

In the PeroCUBE project, TNO is leader for Work Package 7 that deals with human health risk assessment and life cycle assessment.

Objectives of WP7

• To assess the potential human health risks and to provide a life cycle assessment to balance the risks and benefits of the application of nano-perovskites in lighting and energy harvesting applications.
• A human health risk assessment will be conducted for the selected applications, based on hazard and exposure information collected from accessible sources including the consortium partners.
• Assess benefits as well as environmental and human health risks applying the developed approach for selected product- systems of nanomaterials.
