Ioannis Koutselas is a Professor in the Department of Materials Science at the University of Patras.
Below is a statement from him about the European project:
“I have participated in the PeroCUBE project, which was a great research experience, that was performed along with excellent partners from other European countries.
The results were astonishingly good, and allowed all the participating teams to gather further knowledge on the integration of perovskites in true real-life devices, such as large and stable. This knowledge included various steps ranging from synthesis, deposition up to enapsulation, and allowed the member teams, their universities, and the European Union to follow this fast-developing field of perovskites. This is important, as the EU needs to have critical consultants and experience for companies that may invest in perovskite devices. I truly expect that further funding will follow from member states for all the participating teams so that the accumulated experience from PeroCUBE will unfold and diffuse to newer scientists and students. Results that have been obtained from this project still wait to be published.”
