CSEM has continued to develop laser-etched single-junction perovskite modules since the completion of the PeroCUBE project, particularly for industrial customers. Recent work has focused on evaluating the potential of single-junction perovskite modules for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), where the tunable form factor and transparency of perovskite solar modules could open up new architectural opportunities. To this end, perovskite module tiles have been interconnected to create 500 cm² modules, achieving power conversion efficiencies of approximately 11% with a transparency of approximately 30% in the 400-800 nm range. At the same time, the laser-etching process has been optimized to enable the production of perovskite modules with various geometries. Current efforts are now focused on improving the operational stability of these modules, with the ultimate goal of demonstrating a lifetime exceeding 20 years.
